Goombas are topped off with a "pitch-in" lunch and a cool one.

The occasional evening/night-time Goomba provides an opportunity for cooler temperatures during the summer and some terrific Tampa Bay sunsets.

The Value of Our BAC,K Club Dues

During the May BAC,K Club meeting, Sam mentioned what he considered "the value" of paying membership dues to be a BAC,K Club Member. He said the importance is not in “what you GET from paying your dues” – which currently includes a club T-Shirt, a club sticker, a members only “Tall-Tales” Goomba held each December and entrance to a private forum. It is what “you GIVE from paying your dues”.

Dues collected from BAC,K Club members have paid for lunches during the two FYSR Kids events and the Clean Up America effort at Emerson Point. Our next club donation will take place at the June FYSR Kids event. In addition to providing lunch, club funds will also purchase rod & reel combos for each of the kids to keep.

Aside from what the dues represent, our club has also participated in multiple Tampa Bay Watch events – the most recent being the monofilament cleanup at E. G. Simmons Park and another being the Salt Marsh Restoration Planting Project held at Terra Ceia Aquatic Preserve. Additionally, BAC,K Club members have also represented our club donating their time individually in other environmental efforts.

Quite simply put, the value of giving to BAC,K so that we - as a club - can give back is priceless!!!

BAC,K Club’s purpose:

To promote camaraderie and fun.
To support safe, legal fishing from kayak or canoe
To advocate environmentally sound use of marine resources.
