Following on from last weeks tip about lengthening your leader to overcome the very clear water, I mentioned the sebile knot.

Here is a link from a Bill Jackson's staff member on how to tie the knot.

As can be seen through watching the video, this is not a quick knot to tie and I prefer to tie it at home before I head to the water. However because this knot allows you to tie a very long leader, at about 6' depending on your rod length, its a knot that rarely needs retying on the water. You can change out lurese all day long and still not run out of leader.

I lock the half-hitches with a dab of super glue, just to help prevent fraying from running through the guides repeatedly.
