I launched from the CC boat ramp and went over to Rocky Creek yesterday for the first time. Nice place to fish but a long haul when you have the tide and wind against you. It will be the last time I go there on a weekend. Too many boats. I caught a couple small snook on a DOA white paddletail. I think the fish are spoiled with all the live bait being thrown at them by the pros and their customers.

Sounds like a great time, David. I wish that I had more time to fish, but I do not. :(

I went there the weeke between Christmas and New Years.  Found a spot were the out going tide ran into a Key.  The rush created a deeper pool.  Tossed a merodine Minnie in.  Was rewarded with a 27" snook.  Found some lower slot trout also.

I have been doing some Duck hunting in that area over the last couple of weeks, from the kayak of course. :-)   Did not do any fishing there (yet)
